When you hear the term "Webcasting" think of traditional television broadcasting only the picture comes to your computer over the Internet in the form of streaming media instead of over the air to your tv antennae. Streaming media is the simultaneous transfer of digital media (video, voice and data) so that it is received as a continuous real-time stream.

Streamed data is transmitted by a server application across the web to client applications such as Windows Media player and the Real One player which receive and display the media in real-time. Our Finnish partners, Goodmood, have produced an excellent rich media demonstration of Webcasting using their proprietary Webcasting Information Platform (WIP).

The WIP streamlines the entire webcasting process from issuing invitations to security to the user interface to finally generating statistical reports and is one of the benefits of selecting Netstreamlive to produce your webcast.
